PEDULI PESISIR, PEMPROV TANAM RIBUAN MANGROVE

Pemerintah Provinsi Banten terus berupaya mengajak masyarakat untuk mencintai serta menjaga lingkungan yang ada di Provinsi Banten. Dua dari sekian upaya yang dilakukan Pemprov Banten yaitu menggagas Gerakan Banten Bebersih dan penanaman Mangrove di daerah pasisir pantai Banten Lama, Kecamatan Kasemen, Kota Serang pada jumat (21/7).
Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (DLHK) Provinsi Banten Husni Hasan menjelaskan, Gerakan Banten Bebersih Penanaman ribuan pohon mangrove merupakan bentuk stimulan untuk memotivasi masyarakat untuk menjaga lingkungan.
“Gerakan ini tidak hanya dilakukan dihari ini, tapi terus menerus. Bersih-bersih akan dilakukan setiap hari Jumat. Jadi ini hanya awal dan stimulan agar masyarakat luas pun kedepan mengikuti langkah ini, “ ujar Husni di sela-sela acara Gerakan Banten Bebersih, dihalaman Masjid Agung Banten Lama, Kecamatan Kasemen, Kota Serang.
Diketahui, penanaman pohon mangrove dilakukan oleh Gubernur Banten Wahidin Halim (WH) bersama Wakil Gubernur Banten Andika Hazrumy di perairan teluk, tepatnya di kampus Sekolah Tinggi Perikanan, Desa Pancer, Kecamatan Kaseman. Gerakan menanam mangrove tersebut bekerjasama antara Pemprov Banten dengan Pemkot Serang, PT Chandra Asri, LSM Rekonvasi Bhumi, dan elemen msyarakat sebagai bentuk kepedulian mejaga lingkungan wilayahpesisir pantai.
Menurut Husni, dengan langkah Pemprov Banten yang memulai gerakan tersebut, diharapkan semua lapisan masyarakat melakukan hal yang sama, sehingga kondisi alam baik darat maupun laut Banten semakin asri dan terjaga.
“Lingkungan pesisir perlu kita jaga bersama dengan bebagai macam cara, salah satunya menanam mangrove. Cara lain yang paling sederhana menjaga kebersihan daerah yakni dengan tidak membuang sampah sembarangan,’ papar Husni.
Gubernur Banten Wahidin (WH) mengungkapkan,upaya pelestarian alam perlu peran serta bersama. Kolaborasi antara pemerintah dan masyarakat sangat diperlukan. Sebab, apa saja yang dilakukan pemerintah, seperti menanam mangrove dan lainnya, jika tidak dibantu masyarakat tidak akan menghasilkan dampak positif yang signifikan. “ Yang sudah ada mari kita jaga,” katanya.
WH pun prihatin dengan kondisi dan Citra Banten Lama yang dipandang kurang asri oleh masyarakat, baik berasal dari Banten maupun wisatawan dari luar daerah. “ Banten Lama itu kumuh, Banten Lama itu jorok, Banten Lama itu kotor. Mulai hari ini, tidak ada lagi kesan seperti itu di Banten Lama, “ kata WH dihadapan ribuan peserta apel yang terdiri dari berbagai instansi, ormas,pendekar dan lainnya.
Gubernur berharap kegiatan bersih-bersih lingkungan secara bersama-sama di Gerakan Banten Bebersih yang digelar di 11 titik kota Serang, termasuk di kawasan Banten Lama, bisa menjadi momentum atau tanda dimulainya kerja penataan Banten Lama dan kota Serang sebagai ibukota Provinsi banten.
“jadi bukan cuman hari ini kita akan bersih-bersih seperti ini, tapi untuk seterusnya. Masing-masing pemerintah daerah bisa mengagendakan kegiatan bersih-bersih dilingkungan dan daerahnya setiap hari Jumat seperti sekarang ini, kata Gubernur lagi.(Bgn)
